- notanormalnerd 5y agoI don't know why this hasn't come up in any of the threads. With the GDPR this is illegal. Your data officer would be furious and your VP probably out of a job for getting a 100.000€ fine. There is no reason you need that when the user did not submit it, so you have no explicit consent. As a developer in Europe I live the GDPR. I love my privacy and the privacy of the users. All the marketing and sales stuff has been proofen to not work very well, so what the heck?
