Ask HN: Did Google disable line height on search?
Since this afternoon I’ve been noticing that Google search results have zero line height, making them hard to read.
Is this a bug or some sort of AB test? It’s happening on multiple devices.
- cpach 5y agoI also noticed something was off. Looks very weird. No idea why it is like that.
- fcoury 5y agoI thought either I was going crazy or I had some fishy extension changing the search results CSS. Good to know it's none :-)
- cpach 5y agoI guess it’s some kinda A/B testing. Quite unsettling :-p
- jagtesh 5y agoYeah, absolutely driving me nuts. The readability has suffered for me. Oddly, I opened a private tab on Safari - which was a not part of the test and had the older line height. It had a settings icon at the top of results page with an option to enable Dark Mode! Wish I was in that test cohort :-/
- nightpool 5y agoJust ran into the same issue, yeah. Seems to be user-account based A/B test
