The business is a major time / energy sink so I don't always get out as many applications as I wish I could. A good week would be 15 - 20 applications. An average week would be about 10. It's mostly due to the cover letters taking time to write. I've tried applying without them but found the success rate to be lower.
About 80% of my applications are towards junior roles. If I see a mid level role where the company might understand my situation I'll throw out an application and have gotten an interview where the company was open to potentially bringing me on as a junior to train.
The maturing startups idea / dev adjacent roles are good ideas! I'll try to broaden my searches.
Thank you for the response!
