World’s first cultured meat-production plant opens in Israel
- superkuh 5y agoI couldn't find any information on the tech in the article or the future meat site but the founder's lab site has some pretty good hints in his publication list. https://www.nahmias-lab.com/publications https://www.nahmias-lab.com/publications G. - hirundo 5y agoYou can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think. I hope the same remains true for the tissues they use in this plant. Also, "meat plant" is an oxymoron.
- h0l0cube 5y agoSecond definition of plant: > n. a place where an industrial or manufacturing process takes place In this sense a slaughterhouse or meat processing plant are indeed meat plants. For the primary definition, it also seems plausible to genetically engineer a plant to create animal proteins.
- bredren 5y agoI believe your saying creation of tissues devoid of consciousness. Is that what you meant?
- danielyaa5 5y agoIs it kosher?
- sterlind 5y agoapparently even lab-grown pork might be kosher: https://www.timesofisrael.com/rabbi-meat-from-cloned-pig-could-be-eaten-by-jews-with-milk/ https://www.timesofisrael.com/rabbi-meat-from-cloned-pig-cou...
