Windows 11 Live Event
- no_time 5y agoSlimy and disingenuous as always. This cutesy facade is getting old. Just tell it as it is God dammit. -We are compiling everything with a newer -march so offices need to buy newer PCs. This makes OEMs happy. This move may come with a more or less accidental perf increase. -Design departments trying harder than ever to justify their continued existance while still in the shadow of the original team who came up with the layouting before metro was barfed into existance. -more "AI" features nobody gives a rat's ass about. -More locked down. Enjoy remote attestation and measured boot. /cynicism off
- SQueeeeeL 5y agoYeah, Windows 10 was really supposed to be the last Windows, but you can tell the bean counters at Microsoft freaked out at not having a launch, so here we are.
- remexre 5y ago> the bean counters at Microsoft freaked out at not having a launch I assumed this was because Big Sur is macOS 11, so they can't be left behind!
- WorldMaker 5y agoGiven how many of these changes were already previewed (two years ago?) during the Dual Screen Surface event as "Windows 10X", I presume Marketing finally figured out that "10X" was a stupid name. "Windows 11" is a slight improvement on "10X" at least.
- nix23 5y ago>Design departments trying harder than ever to justify their continued existence Wait Microsoft has Design departments?

- esens 5y agoWhat is the cost? Free upgrades if you already have a properly licensed Windows 10 I assume?
