Soft-Launching StartUp on HN comment: 1.000 Visitors, 1 Customer
- onion2k 5y agoLaunching to websites that are full of people who aren't likely potential customers is basically a waste of time. HN is full of relatively wealthy, technically-minded people who are interested in tech and startups. We're mostly "tire-kickers" - we love to see what people build even if it's absolutely no use to us, just because we like to see what people build. Unless that's your market then a Show HN isn't likely to result in many customers. If you want actual customers then you need to find out where your potential customers hang out and post there. Putting something on a personal finance forum or a fintech forum will probably yield much better results.
