Now, I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that it's a hypothesis that must be taken seriously. I feel like any reasonable person translated cautious professor speak to normal speak is that he thinks it is almost certainly artificial. This is the response I would expect him to give if he thought it was 90% artificial - not 10% artificial.
