I'm wondering about a) whether Vercel allows building full-blown Vue SPAs (with backend being independent from Vercel cloud infrastructure) and b) whether solutions built using Vercel are portable to any other cloud infrastructure (i.e., no vendor lock-in). Would appreciate if someone from Vercel team or HN community clarify these aspects.
- leerob 5y ago1. Yes, you can deploy a Vue SPA on the Vercel platform. 2. Yes, you can deploy that same Vue application anywhere else! This applies for static assets (vanilla HTML, single page apps, etc) as well as serverless applications. For example, you can deploy a Next.js application to Vercel (serverless), but also deploy that same app serverful to anywhere that allows Node.js hosting.
