- rsclient 5y agoExample paragraph: "With police departments defunded, monuments vandalized and cities torched, Dr. Seuss was soon condemned as racist, Mr. Potato Head scheduled for gender reassignment and free speech restricted by social media oligarchs. So, it wasn’t a surprise to see social justice warriors on the previously welcoming Graduate School of Business campus." Reality: there are so-far unheeded calls for future defunding, cities are 100% not torched, the Dr Suess company decided to not republish their own books, the Mrs Potato head accessories are now sold comingled with Mr Potato head ones, and private companies have decided that years of abuse should be punished. Monuments to slave-owners have been vandalized, but IMHO that's a good thing. This doesn't seem to be a teacher who can step outside of their own skin and see the world from other perspectives. Looking at the company website, I notice that for all his claims to look for excellence in a color-blind way, the only Black people in the video are poor kids who are presumably being saved. So, not really diverse.
- aritmo 5y agoExample paragraph: "Using a fear of cancellation to silence half the population, SJWs dismissed the steady social progress that was the trademark of the world’s most successful multicultural society. Instead of celebrating the progress flowing from our commonalities, they fomented division by pointing to historical injustices." Not color-blind but tone-deaf.
- amackera 5y agoSounds like a man woefully unaware of his own privilege, and dangerously unaware of the systemic challenges faced by minorities. In my opinion, this is not a thoughtful article.
