Hey, I've been in your position before, so I thought I'd try and give some insight about why I don't think this is getting traction. This was my user experience:
1. I went to the site, clicked 'proceed', then clicked 'live demo'
2. I saw a login screen, and right before I closed the page I saw some tiny credentials pop up on the bottom of the screen so I put them into the login form
3. I got to a screen where the CSS was all messed up, couldn't see most of the left nav bar, nothing to do, so I bounced. I was using Chrome 91 on Ubuntu.
I can't really comment on the usefulness of UML->web apps, since nobody I know writes UML. I'd just think about how your customers interact with your site a lot more.
Good luck!
- enigmathic 5y agoHi Mojoe, Thanks for checking it out ! The demo app is js heavy. If by any case you have js disabled in your browser, content will be all messed up. I don't have large set of testing devices, but haven't really experienced anything similar. I didn't try to implement UML standard all the way, rather, simple UI for the model design. It resembles UML class diagram, so seemed like a logical thing to note on a homepage. In any way, not denying I'm bad at UX and should address that aspect a bit more, but being completely untalented for it, I'd lose an unparallel amount of time on it instead of, for example, implementing support for another technology. At the end of the day, the tool is made for fellow developers rather than customers, so currently, the accent is on technical part of the service, but hopefully, will eventually be more prettier and easier to use. Thanks again for the feedback, much appreciated !
