Having made websites since 2004, I was very mindblown when I found out about this a few months ago. Having tried it out, I was very mindblown at the several basic usability problems and lack of customizability, meaning I can never use it. Don't understand how this made it all the way into browsers. It's strange how there's this large gap between what developers need and what ends up in the browser. It's a lot better than it was though.
