- the_other 5y agoIt's a stupid question. "Why not move away from your friends, social circles, health and legal systems you (ideally) know how to use, family, home, and professional network in order to start from scratch in one of the most physically and emotionally demanding industries, just because your customers aren't labelled criminals there?"
- saiya-jin 5y agoTBH, the first part of your statement is exactly how modern brain drain from poorer -> richer countries is happening and will keep happening. Rich countries are more than happy in general, getting educated young population for free. And the second part is definitely true at least in Europe, where western part is swarmed with ladies from eastern part for many reasons, this being one of them.
- biztos 5y agoIf it’s a stupid question, nobody told the EU. https://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=457 https://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=457 “Better pay” has brought lots of computer programmers, construction workers, and yes, prostitutes from one EU country to another, consistently for a long time now. Try finding a plumber in Budapest. “My clients risk jail and I can’t rent an apartment” seems like much stronger motivation than “pays double my already pretty good wage.”
