They're holding. Historically, almost every single BTC sell was a bad idea.
- rvz 5y ago> They're holding. That's my point. They have no choice but to hodl at those extreme prices until it reaches $60k again, just like it took 3 - 4 years to slightly touch $19,900; and it fell back down again. > Historically, almost every single BTC sell was a bad idea. For those who want to 20x their investment, it is always a very good idea to take profits. You make money from buying in when the market is fearful and selling when everyone is in their peak euphoria, rather than buying in at ATH and HODLing all the way down. Everyone in the smart money knows that; Or do they? Let's compare these options: (1) Buy in Feburary's run up to $50k - $64k (peak of the euphoria) and be left hodling at $30k (Your great idea) (2) Buy in the March 2020 pullback when BTC was $3k - $5k (Reached this price first since 2016) and then taking profits when it struggled to break past $64k? (My idea) Option (1) is what 99% of retail or crypto newbies did in 'bull runs' and are still left waiting with their investment to break even. (2) Is smart money with extreme gains which is the 1%. I and many others went in with the smart money and bought in at the low prices in late 2019 and March 2020 and today made >10x - 15x out of BTC by not buying at its all time high. (Which was $19k in 2017)
