- rektide 5y agoGoogle talks about implementing the 3rd party cookie blocking that every other company already implemented or committed to, TO PROTECT USERS, and the EU flips it's shit and launches an anti-trust probe. 100% true that protecting users against third party tracking will, in the end, boost Google's 1st party tracking. But this is widely, hugely agreed to as a massive improvement for the security of the web. As being vital. It's already the rules of the road, and Google didn't lead this charge. What a way to make yourself look like a bunch of wanker clowns, regulators. Sending incredibly bad signals, & an incredibly shitty way to hop in the hater-train.
