Sure, and if it passes the rest of the country doesn't get much credit for finally catching up to him in trying to fix it (he sponsored a bill to fix it in 2007, while he waa still in the Senate.) But its still the right thing to do, whether or not wrong things were done in the past.

- wallscratch 5y agoI think he deserves a lot of credit for actually evolving his views over a half-century and doing his best to balance political realities with the democratic agenda.
