Machine Learning in Excel
- agomez314 5y agoIf regression, k-means clustering and k-nearest neighbor analysis can be done in excel, does that empower a non-technical person to do machine learning with their data?
- Bostonian 5y agoExcel may be one of the mostly widely used programs for data analysis, because so much data is in spreadsheets and so many people use them. But multiple linear regression using LINEST returns the coefficients in the opposite order of the data. See https://www.excelforum.com/excel-general/353071-linest-why-did-they-do-that.html https://www.excelforum.com/excel-general/353071-linest-why-d... . Has Microsoft fixed this? At least offering an optional argument to LINEST to get coefficients in the same order as the columns? The stupid ordering of LINEST results has cost me and many other people countless hours over the years.
