So much power to be able to multi task - Eventually everyone will have an AOL account - Eventually everyone will have a hotmail account - Access will rule the world. Visual Basic. VBA. Gaudy block colorf UIs will be du jour - OMG Java Applets ruling the world - VRML will reduce the need to know html - COM/COM+ is the future of programs transfering data between components - Buying more machines and spreading the load, rather than bigger machines will be the way of the future - Novell Groupwise vs MS Mail - Netscape should just buy Microsoft - Borland C/C++ was going to rule the world - Drag and drop UI designers might someday not screw up at the faintest hint of advanced layout (and even might get fast eventually) - Windows would "Beat" Macs - Linux will eventually get to be mainstream (desktop) - ColdFusion will be the fastest / most secure server product - Having opinions on Lycos / Altavista / Yahoo Google - Everyone will want to run their own home squid server to make things faster - someday programs would be big enough to come on multiple disks - someday programs would be big enough to come on multiple CDs - Neuromancer / matrix / shadowrun style human computer interaction would come true in the 2000s - Human computer interactions would tend towards mostly speech / audio rather than qwerty - jQuery accordions will rule the world - XHMTL will be the new hotness - XML will save the world from incompatible data and save so much time - Source control might someday not screw up XML / UI design files
