American Airlines CEO compensation was $10M+ in 2020 [1]. Not to mention the C-suite, SVP's and VP's, and board pay. Seems like that should drop to $0 before you start crying for free labor. I'm familiar with a company who's CEO, after the housing crash in 2008, gave himself a 5% raise while telling everyone else we didn't have enough for annual cost of living increases and was called out. That CEO took his own life a few years later.
