Down voters: Please make sure you truly understand the concept and history of money, currency, fiat currency, gold and how the Federal Reserve actually works and is structured. FOMC board members are not elected by the people, yet they control interest rates and the money supply. They are not the federal government and they maintain their own balance sheet of debt. They do have a little oversight from Congress but well Congress likes low interest rates. When low rates become a problem, they will more than likely be out of the office. They also allow America to finance our endless wars with low interest rates. Digital currency are the product of governments debt load and overspending.
