It never fails to amaze me how seemingly impossible it is to get a web development firm to just write:
<form>
<label>Full name: <input type="text"></label>
<label>Date of birth: <input type="date"></label>
<label>Zip code: <input type="text"></label>
<input type="submit" value="Submit">
</form>
And then sprinkle a little CSS on top to make the colors match the client's theme.
It's really simple.
- userbinator 5y agoThat's because web developers seem to have the notion that if it's not complex and hard, they have a hard time justifying their pay. So they make it complex, and when something like accessibility or browser support inevitably fails, they can charge more to "fix" it --- by of course adding even more complexity, and the cycle repeats.
