Great points in the article. One thing I see traveling around the world and observing cultures, is lack of direction. It's a common theme in every country and culture. And by that I don't mean just providing raw information. But actually holding someone by the hand and showing them a better way too -- and arming them with the information and examples in real life to show that it actually works. Example -- it's all well and good to give that mom lower bus fares. Good. But also how do you help that mom to craft a good sustainable 5 year plan to get her out of poverty by following it. What's needed is to point out that - say - becoming a nurse is a good option. And that to become that nurse you start with A, then go to B, then C then Nurse. The low bus fares alone, not gonna do that.
