"I have a disability but didn't have money to get a doctor's appointment to fill out the paperwork proving I qualified for discounted bus fare as a disabled person." I am not from the US and I have a question: Did ObamaCare provide a solution for such cases?
- tfehring 5y agoMedicaid has provided free healthcare to people with qualifying disabilities since long before Obamacare. Obamacare did encourage states to expand Medicaid to low-income people regardless of health status and provide them with funding to do so, so in most of the US [0] it expanded Medicaid availability to people who previously weren't "disabled enough" to qualify.
