That seems like a pretty low bar. When I think viral I don't think, "gets to the top 10 submissions of a niche forum".
- iamben 5y agoI suppose it depends on what you're used to? From my own (and other people's) experiences, you can have a project with a few hundred site visits - get towards the top of HN, and you can have 100k visits over the next few days. A good enough project on HN tends to get coverage elsewhere, a lot of Tweets etc etc.
