If cars would just use standard DIN entertainment systems then upgrading that part every few years would be cheap and trivial. But I expect car manufacturers would rather people buy a new car when they want the new shiny infotainment.
- decafninja 5y agoI think design plays a part too. They want something that looks well integrated into the interior design language.
