If you care about privacy at all, the older the car better it is.
- speedgoose 5y agoTrue. You can however remove/disable/break the modem on a some cars. You lose some features such as starting the cabin heater from your smartphone but it increases your privacy.
- crocodiletears 5y agoI'm restoring an oughties ranger for this exact reason. I'll start buying up other Rangers for parts when they hit the market at an affordable price, and I'll keep it running until the sun burns out, or the state decides to come for my death trap. After that, I'll probably become Amish or something.
