The biggest problem I have with those "canned" systems, is that there's no real conversation. I have a REALLY hard time even understanding what's being asked. In a real environment, I can ask probing questions. I have had to do a TON of HackerRank, LeetCode, and Code Katas to get used to how the questions are framed. But, I definitely enjoy solving those types of puzzles.
