  You just have to make enough money so you can escape it. All tax systems are regressive if you are rich enough.

    But even then, taking home 65 cents on the dollar vs 38 cents on the dollar (or euro) are very different things.

  Actually, since it's discouraging him from working 20% over a 5 year block instead of 80%, this is an incentive to work /more/ :p
