Here in the states, maybe with that extra day people have they could rally for the rest of the working class to get fair pay and benefits. As I’ve watched my non-software friends (with degrees!) struggle, I’ve grown increasingly disgusted by how much money there is in the software industry. The majority of workers will never have money for a house and/or real retirement, while my only reason for not buying a second house is that I don’t feel like vacationing in the same spot all the time. I fully expect to get downvoted to hell by all the financially comfortable libertarians that lurk here.
