The people who have the big bucks to give, usually made that money by being "right" a lot. I would wager that it is very difficult for those same people to relinquish control, when doing so flies in the face of everything they have taught themselves to get to that point. You are correct, they need to trust the people who know how to help. My guess is, that is a very difficult thing to do.
