The claim is that the medical ‘loss’ ratio caused insurers to want to pay more for healthcare so that the fixed profit percentage would be a higher gross. I am not an expert on health insurance, but if it’s like gambling, then I don’t like the idea that a casino is profiting on people’s lives.
