Screenshot of the UI Design That Led Citigroup to Accidentally Send $893M
- mimixco 5y agoUIs for crypto wallets and exchanges are often of this ilk. Why do people who make so much money with software seem so uninterested in the UI work their software demands? Interfaces are not optional. Worse is, in this case, not better. Newsflash for Citigroup and anyone in crypto: Good UI people can be hired! There's no reason for a 1980's video store Point of Sale system to be the basis for an interface that moves millions of dollars.
- ozfive 5y agoI can't. I just can't. This writeup once you view the UI (As a 21st century human being) just screams: We are making an excuse for why citigroup hasn't invested in software since the early 90's and windows 3.1. The only reason this has happened is because citigroup was too cheap to fix their aging systems for DECADES. Don't waste your time reading this article unless you want to be just as furious as I am. No, I will not drink this Kool Aid.
