Reviving extinct species may soon be possible
- BuyMyBitcoins 5y agoI’m confident this won’t be possible during my lifetime, but I imagine a future where we can design artificial species to replace the ones we’ve caused to go extinct. It’s one thing to revive a species from cloning sample DNA, but I suspect the vast majority of Holocene species we’ve caused to go extinct don’t have any genetic samples for us to work with. One day we may have a bio-engineering IDE and we can make functional replacements.
