- Indexing and identifying child porn hosts can also help the authorities shut them down.
- xupybd 5y agoIt's not uncommon for the law to regulate private companies to force them to prevent illegal activities. For instance if Amazon was selling stolen goods they would be in trouble with the law.
- webmobdev 5y agoAs they should be - laws and regulation, in a democracy, is definitely the right way to go about it, rather than tech giants determining what information you have access to. (And, ofcourse, it goes without saying that anti-child-porn laws need to be stringent against the content creators, and perhaps even against the consumers.)
