I’ve never heard of the product prior to this so I did a HN/Algolia search and skimmed through the comments on the various HN posts (after reading the submitted article and the original announcement) and I think that what it shows is that for at least some of the commenters based on what they were asking/saying provides a reasonably enlightening overview of what the “average HN’er” felt. None in particular stood out enough to provide as an illustration but I certainly detected a general tone of confusion. I must confess that after reading the original announcement I was still none the wiser until well past the 3/4 page mark and by that point my eyes had glazed over slightly. That might be more to do with that Kubernetes isn't something I use so possibly for someone that did have an active interest in the topic may have had their interest/curiosity piqued earlier enough in the release announcement to reach the ‘reveal’. All of the above is obviously a personal opninion so is entirely subjective.
