In a business setting the incentive to share your solutions with other teams is the hope/expectation that they'll share theirs. What good is it if 2 teams are solving the same problems. It's a waste of time when the other team could be solving a different problem. At the end of it you share your solution. There's too many cases of teams just being walled off from everyone else and then duplicate work being done.
