Thanks for the kind words. I agree that decent recruiters are few and far between however I think there is a lot that can be done to help change the industry.

Thanks for the kind words. I agree that decent recruiters are few and far between however I think there is a lot that can be done to help change the industry. I will be following up with another post in a week or so outlining exactly what I believe are the issues with my industry and what steps need to be taken to change things.

Let me guess - it will involve a lot of recruiters not understanding (and in some cases, not wanting to understand) the businesses and needs of the companies they recruit for? Or in other words - they spend a lot of time recruiting people they don't have any clue of what they are good at, to jobs where they don't understand what the jobs involve.

  Pretty much spot on. There is a lot more to it than that but what you've just said is the fundamental issue.
