- nix23 5y agoBut the relationship your kids want, you are not a friend but a parent, you can be a friend when they are in their 20s-30
- betwixthewires 5y agoBut it's the relationship they need from you. You don't create them for you, you create them for them. It's not literally I had no relationship with my parents. They got me ready for school in the morning, my mom and I had inside jokes, we spent time together, we went to the grocery store, I had homework. But from the minute I was headed to school until the sun went down most days I was out in the world by myself.
