JPMorgan is hoarding cash because 'good chance' inflation here to stay
- jfengel 5y agoIsn't the whole point of inflation that you're not supposed to hoard cash? Inflation reduces the value of your cash. Reading TFA, I think the idea is that he's expecting the Fed to have to react to inflation by raising interest rates (despite their claim that it won't happen until 2023). They raise interest rates, assets decline, and then he can snap them up at a discount. Am I following that correctly?
