Your tutorial works for some one already familiar with programming but not with Python. It may work for the originator of that thread.
But LPTHW is more along the lines of Joe's advice:
>> Then buy a decent book and type in the programs by hand.
>> One at a time thinking as you go.
LPTHW does exactly that. Actually typing the programs has magic to it.
- defroost 15y agoI prefer Learning Python by Mark Lutz. I've read a ton of programming books, and I can't recall one the didn't recommend typing the exercises by hand, reading the code carefully line-by-line to understand exactly what is going on. Few quality language books say "go ahead and copy and paste the code from the books website, and don't worry about what the code is actually doing."
