- dalbasal 5y agoThis is quite a good article, the journalist clearly did work. A lot in here, and I don't have clear opinions on most. I do find it disturbing though, that "the company's 10,000-word terms of service agreement" plays such a role. No one reads these, clearly. Everyone knows this. Calling it an agreement is ridiculous. It's a bastardisation of the concept. AirBnB are not unique, obviously, and it didn't even start online. Still, the fact that legals systems treat these as meaningful documents makes the system itself seem fraudulent. It's like accepting an affidavit signed by a ghost as valid testimony.
