- tonyedgecombe 5y agoYes, take a look at what Apple is doing this year to see what Microsoft will do next year. This has been their playbook forever.

- rainonmoon 5y agoTranslucency? You mean like the Aero Glass visual language that has been part of the Windows design book since Vista? Rounded window corners like XP? Come on. The worst you can say is this redesign is nothing new for Windows. This idea that they're always copying macOS is as silly as it is persistent.
- 00deadbeef 5y agoYes, translucency. macOS-style translucency not Aero Glass-style translucency.
- quantumsequoia 5y agoWhat about it specifically is "macOS style"?
- 00deadbeef 5y agoIt's almost exactly the same blur effect
- andrewmcwatters 5y agoAlmost all UI blur effects are Gaussian blurs. It’s the same approach used in Vista. In Vista, they just used another layer to make the surfaces seem “shiny.”
- Siira 5y agoWhich I really liked. It was a performance hog, but beautiful.
- metaltyphoon 5y agoCome one, translucency has been on windows since Vista. Round corners was on Win XP !!!
- 00deadbeef 5y agoDifferent translucency
