Yes, I've also heard that alternatively you can just wait for them to send it to a debt collector and they will happily negotiate with you as well.

- caturopath 5y agoIf they've sold the debt to a debt collector, don't interact with them at all unless they literally sue you. There's really nothing to be gained by paying a debt collector.
