This number is useless without also stating the estimated percentage of the actual adverse events are actually reported. It would be great if authors such as these would try to gather information about it and try to include it in their articles promoting vaccines.
It seems that COVID vaccines are not even in the list of vaccines that are to be reported by law, at least as per this document

So without actually enforcing that all doctors (and only doctors) are reporting, to the best of their judgement, all the adverse events following vaccines, the numbers from VAERS cannot be trusted, one way or another.
