Nah that would mean the news know what will happen and are consistently wrong. But that's not true either. They know nothing, as much as the rest of us.

- eru 5y agoOr rather, what they and we know is already incorporated in the prices. The economy (and wider world) are reasonably predictable, it's just that the prices already incorporate all the predictions. Today's stock price is more-or-less already the best predictor of tomorrow's stock price.
