Ask HN: How to self-study and change job to front-end web developer
Hi HN,
I am a LSI design hardware engineer with more than 3 year experience. Since my career path is not so bright (few hardware companies on my location, few works for LSI field, cannot expand my team, low salary), I want to change to software development, which I've been loved and passionate for a long.
I've learned about HTML, CSS and JS in my free time and have customized a Hugo theme to create my wife a website (with Linux server management skill). I also have basic knowledge about programming (mostly python and bash), since I've done some small tools and scripts to automating things in my daily life.
I choose front-end web developer because it's related to my work now (create and optimize UI). With these information, could you give me some advice about changing job? Thank you.
