Why not consider companies that are not FANG? FANG is just 4, you can check with each. I believe you will have to be tied to some existing local office for HR reasons. Of course, there are always exceptions people whisper about, but I suppose you need to be exceptional for a manager to push for that. It is definitely not the norm.
- xchaotic 5y agoOk, if it’s not a fang who do you recommend? At least some examples would be nice if you think it’s a good alternative
- toomuchtodo 5y agoHashicorp is equipped to employ with robust global coverage. Have some colleagues there, no other affiliation.
- wikibob 5y agoHashicorp does not pay anywhere near FAANG last I heard.
- jokethrowaway 5y agoI think it's more than 4, there are definitely more companies with similar compensation (eg. I would consider Microsoft part of FANGs). Thanks a lot for the info about this being something exceptional!
