Speaking of powerful web apps, I wonder if we'll see support for registering web apps as commands that can be run in a terminal.
- pjmlp 5y agoWith Chrome taking over the Web, ultimatly you will get ChromeOSification of the Web.
- zozbot234 5y agocurl https://URI_TO_WEB_APP | wasm-exec-webapp /dev/stdin
- moehm 5y agoThis sounds so incredible dangerous, OTOH there is no difference to curl | sh.
- nynx 5y agoWhile `wasm-exec-webapp` isn't a real thing, if it's sandboxed as it would be, there'd be no difference, security wise, between that and going to a webpage in your browser
- mike_ivanov 5y agoRemember ActiveX?
- Spivak 5y agoI mean when you navigate to any website you’re basically doing curl | v8 and trusting that the sandbox works.
