What does sanitizing ps outputs protect you from? Untrusted non-root users in the same machine?
- dj_mc_merlin 5y agoYes. If someone manages to gain a foothold on the machine running the process they would not instantly be able to elevate privileges. Of course the happier scenario includes no hackers on your machines, but why dig yourself a deeper hole?
