About 22% of Americans self-identify as anti-vaxxers
- gregjor 5y agoTroubling, but lower than I expected. Calling “anti-vaxxer” an identity wrongly implies some innate quality shared by a large number of people. Some people have ignorant ideas about vaccines, others feel suspicious about specific vaccines, and some feel like they can roll the dice on herd immunity or luck. People not believing in vaccines presents a problem. Making up a new “identity” category doesn’t help anyone.
