I have a pretty clear view of the sky so I’m hoping for the best. HughesNet is barely usable for anything but basic browsing and the plan I’m on is more expensive than Starlink to boot.
- cheschire 5y agoIndeed. I'm only encouraging you to go in with your eyes open, rather than discouraging you from trying altogether. Internet quality is definitely one of the downsides to living outside of major population centers, and I do respect HughesNet for managing to provide internet to so much low density space. I hope that starlink does become a solid competitor in these regions though once the kinks are worked out.
